Client Account Manager (CSR). You will be responsible for assisting the personal lines department in providing service to clients by phone, fax, email and occasionally in person, which will include quoting and issuing new business and renewals. You must become familiar with carrier appetites, acceptable risk profiles and underwriter requirements. Insurance P&C license is required, and you must have at least one year of experience servicing personal insurance accounts. You must be highly coachable, have ADVANCED computer and typing skills, be able to work independently under pressure and professional in appearance to qualify.100% In-House Position. Absolutely NO cold-calling or collections calls are involved.
Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (you may occasionally be asked to work longer depending on workload). Up to one hour for lunch. Weekends off.
A P&C insurance license and at least 1 year of personal insurance experience are required. Experience with quoting home, auto, umbrella, boat, RV and other "toys" via comparitive raters is preferred. Regardless of experience, we will train and educate the successful candidate on ‘Our Award-Winning Way of Doing Things’. Experience with agency management software systems (especially AMS360) a PLUS!
The successful candidate will begin on a 90-Day Probationary Period (the same for all team members) where you will be paid an hourly rate between $17.50 and $19.50 with NO benefits, paid sick time or paid vacation. Hourly rate is dependent on experience, knowledge base and skillset.
After successfully completing the 90-Day Probationary Period, you will meet with our company COO along with the Executive Committee for a discussion on your overall performance, strengths, weaknesses and areas of improvement moving forward. If we are satisfied with your performance you will become a FULL-time team member receiving benefits and paid vacation time. Your pay rate is based on the VALUE you bring to the agency.
We pay 100% of your health benefits and 50% of your dependent’s benefits. You pay the other 50%.

You are computer literate and able to learn quickly under pressure. As “Client Account Manager (CSR)” focusing on new business, you are often one of the first team members a prospect meets or speaks with. A first impression is a LASTING impression therefore you MUST be professional in appearance, including how you speak and how you act. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a real asset.
It matters. A lot. You are outgoing and confident, and you exude energy and enthusiasm. You will be communicating with carrier reps, underwriters and clients on the phone, by email and in person, so if you have ever been described as shy, quiet or introverted, this is probably NOT the job for you. You enjoy people, you enjoy talking to and helping people and you have a knack for motivating and inspiring them with your positive attitude. You are articulate. You have a good sense of humor and a cooperative attitude. You show kindness, patience and respect for others. You are ethical and honest even when no one is watching. You are punctual. You are able to take constructive criticism and correction without getting defensive or feeling “hurt” and discouraged. You look for solutions NOT excuses. You are an avid learner and extremely resourceful in finding solutions. You are a problem solver – NOT a problem reporter.
Since we will be paying you to work, this section is extremely important. You enjoy working and are grateful for opportunities to use your God-given talents and skills to make a positive influence and earn a living. You don’t view your job as an interruption of your life, but as a natural part of your life.
You understand you are not getting paid merely for being at work but for how you spend your time at work (ie. The value you bring to the business). You understand that the reason the business exists is to make a profit and ALL who work here (team members & owners) must make that their foremost priority. Otherwise, the business will not be able to pay or keep employees.
You are scrupulous about using the time you are getting paid, for the purposes of the business, and NOT for the purposes of your personal life (checking emails, texting, surfing the internet, smart phone apps, Facebook, Twitter, taking personal calls, etc.). Finally, you understand the small business owner faces risks every day the business is open, and will cooperate with the decisions the owner makes, whether they suit you or not.

We need someone who will be able to keep up with us. We don’t have the time nor do we enjoy micro-managing you. We will clearly set out our expectations and remind you if you forget or if you fail to meet them. We want you to be part of our team and not just a worker here. We want to give you autonomy, and we want to let you be free to do the work that you are getting paid to do and that you hopefully ENJOY doing.
